My boyfriend and I came to Branson for a last minute weekend getaway. We booked two tickets to Motown Tribute on Sunday night 9/1/2019. When we arrived, we discovered that not only were our tickets not there, but we were charged $99 and some change when the tickets were only $33.95 per person. This was not the theater's fault and we were reimbursed by the provider (Bransonshows.com), however, the theater did sell us tickets at full price to sit in the very back in order to see what we thought would be a great show. The show was not at all what we expected and seemed to be quite thrown together and had a very non motown vibe(a Martina McBride song, as well as "Hallelujah" were sung and quite unprofessionally, the performer stopped numerous times either having forgotten the words or unable to hit the notes). We came to find at intermission that this indeed was not the show we paid for. We spoke to patrons who had seen the show before and they claimed that at least three of the regular performers were not present. We, along with about half the audience left at intermission. My main issue is that the theater knowingly sold us FULL PRICE tickets to a show that was not going to be as advertised. I was extremely disappointed and sadly would not reccomend this show or theater based upon the lack of professionalism shown by the staff of the theater and the makeshift cast. I really wanted to love this show. I hope this place gets their issues figured out and a refund or even an apology would go a long way.
