This is a great trip. The bus ride was relaxing and our driver, Henry, was terrific. I would have to say the best part was the Carriage ride. The tour guide was so informative about every aspect of Charleston. And Carlos the horse, was fantastic. It is true, it would have been better to have more time at the market and to wander around on our own. The boat cruise was nice but the captain repeated everything we had just heard from the Carriage guide, so it was repetitive. The box lunch was delicious. The Boone plantation was nice..but you only get to see the first floor of the house as it is privately owned. Front hall,library, dining room, and enclosed porch. The tram ride(pulled by tractor) around the grounds was informative. All in all, it was a great day, a little bit of everything. I would highly recommend this trip.

The three events were the best three you could do if you have only one day in Charleston. I would like some more time in the historic downtown so perhaps and overnight trip would be helpful.

Couldn't believe how pleased we were with this trip! Although we booked our vacation in Myrtle Beach, we really thought long and hard about Charleston, with many of our friends telling us how great it was. So when we saw a Day Trip, WITH a carriage tour, WITH a Harbor Tour, and WITH a Plantation tour, we thought, "Holy Cow, that must be expensive!" Turns out, it was probably less expensive than if we did it ourselves, AND we got expert guides along the way! Because while the bus driver was okay, the guys on the Carriage Tour were EXCELLENT and the Harbor Tour Captain was informative and Hilarious. The Plantation guys were very good as well, and the Gullah woman gave a wonderful presentation. So if you wanted to get a really decent taste of Charleston in one day, I couldn't imagine a better tour. BTW, we were on the same tour with Yankee Pop.
