We begin with a tour of St. Joseph’s Cemetery, where your guide will tell you of the unique burial traditions and celebrations in our “cities of the dead”. You'll then roll under the shade of the live oak trees in the Garden District. You will marvel at the beautiful mansions owned by wealthy merchants of the past and celebrities of the present. Your guide will tell you stories of not only the residents but also the people who built these amazing houses.

Time permitting, we will cruise through the Irish Channel to see its colorful shotgun houses, neighborhood restaurants, and hole-in-the-wall po’boy shops.

My guide was Julie (I think) on a cold and chilly day. The route is easy and she explained how New Orleans residents buried their dead as well as history of the houses in the garden district. Included a stop at a bar to warm up. Highly recommend, time flew by so fast.

This exceeded our expectations. Tanya was our guide and she was brilliant! Tanya is very knowledgeable and her love and understanding of the area shines through. Don’t worry if you’re not a cyclist - this is easy cycling, with frequent stops to hear about the local area. You don’t need to be particularly fit as it’s on the flat. We felt safe on our bikes all of the time. The visit to the cemetery was really fascinating and ‘a must’ to see. Using the St Charles Streetcar it is easy to get to and easy to find. We highly recommend this tour - if we come back to New Orleans we will definitely book another tour with this company!

What a great way to get out of the French Quarter and see more of the city! Getting here was a breeze (just take the St. Charles streetcar), and this was a fun and easy/flat bike ride around the Garden District and beyond. Tanya was super-friendly and knowledgeable - I learned way more than I expected about the history of the Garden District, Mid City and the Irish Channel, and it was enjoyable throughout.
