I was glad we were able to see some of the hot spots in the city, but there wasn’t a single thing spooky about the tour. Our guide was very nice, however frequently lost his crowd with broken/mixed stories that were difficult to follow. The stops were too long, you could fit much more into 2 hour tour if there was a better flow to the information that was supposed to be offered and more places to go- which there are plenty of here. We stopped for a long while on the backside of the “oldest building in New Orleans” but all we could see was a high perimeter wall. There was just nothing to look at. Possibly the entrance or front of the building would have been a better spot? At the end there was a spiel about Anne Rice, and being a lifelong fan of Anne Rice, it didn’t take long to realize he didn’t actually know anything about her. 28 people to a group… there was quite a bit of herding and yelling, which chopped the stories up a lot more. The atmosphere for what I was wanting just wasn’t there. By the end we were just dying to get going anywhere else. But I appreciate the effort. This is the first time TripAdvisor has sorta steered me in the wrong direction.
