We booked a Haunted Historical Carriage Tour for our family which cost $240 on 26 Nov, 2019. We arrived promptly ten minutes before our tour and were met by Randy Cadel (spelling), the tour manager. He asked us if we were “the party of six” and quickly asked us if we were in New Orleans tomorrow night...this seemed very odd. We informed him that we were not and he told us there was not a carriage here now. He then asked us if we wanted to cancel our tour which sent us a red flag that something was wrong. He finally said the carriage would be delayed for at least ten minutes and we patiently waited. After ten minutes, we approached him again and inquired about our carriage. Randy showed ZERO concern and nonchalantly said he had “no idea where our carriage was because he didn’t have a GPS.” His sarcasm and disingenuous remarks were insulting. He finally said it would be “another 20 minutes” but again asked if we wanted to cancel our tour. His persistence to cancel our tour ensured us there was no carriage available; however, we waited patiently for another 20 minutes (total of more than 30 minutes from our originally scheduled tour). After more than 30 minutes of waiting, Randy said he was “cancelling our tour (without our consent) because we were so rude.” We persistently asked if there was actually a carriage arriving and he said we just needed to wait. A loud shouting match ensued with all of us and we told Randy we were being ripped off. He once again showed no concern and it was more than evident there was not a carriage arriving...Randy knew it and simply wanted us to leave. Furthermore, Randy didn’t care if we wrote a bad review and said he was the “manager for the last five years.” We finally left upset and seriously disappointed because we couldn’t ride the carriage, but more disappointed with Randy for lying to us and his complete disregard for customer service. We’re now out of $240 until we settle with Trip Advisor, as explained by Randy, and our night was completely ruined. It’s an absolute shame that a customer can obligate to pay $240 for a service and the company could care less if they deliver...truly disgraceful! I would not recommend this company to anyone...a nightmare experience!

Please know that customer service is HUGE to us and is super high on our priority list, so to hear that we fell short of your expectations in any way is heart breaking. As this was the holidays, with the corresponding street closures in NOLA, the wait here may have been longer than expected. For that we apologize, and please know that we do our very best to stay on top of supply and demand, though sometimes wait times are beyond our control. Tour guide Matt presented a very aloof and scripted tour of the city. Either he has been doing this tour guide business too long and needs a break.... Or was having a bad night. But he put me to sleep.

Our guide was great! she was very friendly and told the stories in an interesting and sometimes funny way. Highly recommend!
