We offer expert guidance: A professional photographer with local knowledge will guide guests to the best locations, angles, and lighting for taking stunning photographs.

On the tour, guests will receive customised education on camera settings, composition, and other techniques to improve their photography skills.
As locals, we know the best locations in New York City and can quickly find the best spots to shoot, as well as navigate to some off-the-beaten-path spots for some magical images. Because the tours are private, guests can go at their own pace and be guided with skills to suit their personal level.

I had told Aperture that I didn't want to take normal tourist photos so wasn't sure what to expect. We met Jahne at City Hall and we walked from there to the Occulus via a couple of churches (trying to balance bright backgrounds and objects in shadow, then a boat trip to DUMBO and some great opportunities to take photos of New York from, Brooklyn. She suggested I try using Manual mode (AV is normal for me) and didn't give up on me! She was a great tutor and great company. My brother came along as a spectator and we both enjoyed chatting to her about photography and sometimes not. I would highly recommend Aperture Tours and Jahne. My next visit is to Berlin - I believe they do tours there, so watch this space.

I'm a professional photographer and was looking for a guide to show me some good new spots and tips on some photos I knew I wanted to get. Jahne was really great. From customizing the walk, changing plans to fit my vision of things, to providing genuinely helpful photography tips Jahne was amazing. We covered Midtown, Brooklyn/ Dumbo and the Brooklyn Bridge. Jahne was friendly and quickly picked up on my skill's strengths and weaknesses, offering substantive advice and insight. i got the extended tour and we ended up walking even a bit more into a little bit of overtime. I can't recommend Jahne enough. I think if she was able to work that well with an advanced photographer just imagine the fantastic time she must provide for beginners/ novice shutterbugs. 5 stars, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The tour was excellent. The meeting point was sent to me before the tour, it was precise. They were also able to adjust the time and place at my request. My photographer, Jahné, was very helpful, knowledgeable.
