Jim was our tour guide, and he was one of the best we have ever experienced. A side note, he is also a Vietnam war veteran and hero. Though this was a “mansion tour”, he told us so much about Newport’s history and took us by many historic landmarks with thorough explanation and humor along the way. We added the breakers mansion tour and had an hour for that on top of the 1.5 hour tour. This would be good to do at the beginning of your time in Newport, as he gave many suggestions.
