I expected this ride to be fun, but it is absolutely amazing!
What I didn't expect was the warm welcome from all of the workers! It started with the young woman directing groups to the ticket booths patiently answering questions from many folks. The woman who sold me our tickets was very patient with my questions concerning wheelchair accessibility. Once we arrived to the boat, as soon as some of the young men working saw the wheelchair, they came down the ramp to help us up the steep portion. While the boat was docking, one of the young men came over to wait with us to help get the wheelchair off the steep ramp. And then Mr. Dexter took over after introducing himself to our family, and had all of us back to the elevator before we could even blink. Many places accommodate wheelchair users, but very few make them feel as welcome as Maid of the Mist did.
