We did not even know this adventure existed until another couple asked if we had done it yet. Curiosity piqued, we looked into this adventure and we were so glad that we did. It was amazing!
We went out on a boat just for a short jaunt (about 10 min) where the boat was anchored and white boards were put into the water. The boards had blue lights on the bottom. The guests were instructed to leave the boat and swim to the boards where we held onto rails along the sides the boards. We were each given a noodle to put in front of our ankles so that we were laying flat, face down in the water with a snorkel and mask. Once the blue lights were turned on, the manta rays were attracted by the light and we could see them swim amongst us while they fed on the plankton. They were at least 10-15 of them swimming about us. It was like watching a water ballet. The animals were beautiful and harmless. It was amazing to watch them and an unbelievable experience.
I highly recommend it. The crew was fabulous and extremely helpful to all the passengers. After the trip we had hot chocolate and cookies...yum.
The whole experience lasted about 90 minutes.
