The plantation house was a disappointment. Expected it to be more interesting and have more inside to look at. Being from the UK we have far better stately homes with a lot more history. The swamp boat tour was also disappointing. It was late November so the animals we hoped to see were in hibernation, so there was nothing to see. It didn’t help that the weather was cold and drizzly which made it uncomfortable

Thank you for your feedback. We do not have any ownership over the Oak Alley Plantation, as our company only provide the transportation portion. As for the swamp tour, since you were already aware of the hibernation, I'm not sure why it would be such a disappointment. We promise a swamp tour, not a wildlife tour. We can't control the mother nature of the rain and the wildlife in its natural habitat. However, you could have chosen to not take the swamp tour as we are lenient with rescheduling/refunds during extreme weather. We would not force anyone to take a tour in the rain, but we chose to run it anyway, because other guests don't mind a little rain.

Our airboat guide grew up on the bayou and share his knowledge and insights. We saw alligators and bald eagles. Bring your camera and a jacket. The Oak Alley Plantation is in a beautiful settling with nicely presented historical displays. Our guides were personable, knowledgeable and gave us insight to life and running of the Plantation.

It was a good trip and going in airboat was a treat but we had a cold rainy day (it does get cold in Louisiana in winter so check weather forecast) I think we could have spent less time on the bus . After the airboat ride the driver who was very friendly and knowledgeable took us on what seemed to be a long detour around the hurricane Katrina devastation sites which we honestly did not need to see . It wasn’t the most picturesque neighborhoods so he should have driven us straight to Plantation. Plantation was the highlight and a beautiful and well run facility . On way back driver should have limited the narration and let us relax as it was dark ..he just went in and on and by end of ride I could but wait to get off bus , also speakers were loud ..after a long day he should just let us relax as it was dark …
