Soar over the west Maui rainforest and the north shore of Molokaʻi to view the sea cliffs and waterfalls. Head back over West maui to our amazing Oceanfront Landing location to take in the views. Once done at the landing location the pilot will take back off and continue the tour back to the Kahului Heliport.

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Weight Restrictions: Due to FAA regulations, all passengers must be weighed at check-in. For each single passenger weighing 240 pounds or more, combined weights of 420 lbs per couple, or for groups of 3 or more an average weight of 200lbs or more an additional seat must be purchased at time of booking. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers. It is important to provide accurate body weight at checkout.
It is recommended that all passengers wear dark clothing to help have less reflection in the windows when flying and therefore you can get better photos during your tour

Infants under 24 months must sit on an adult lap. PLEASE CONTACT AIR MAUI IF BRINGING AN INFANT. Over 24 months must occupy their own paid seat.

Not wheelchair accessible. There is no wheelchair lift to accommodate wheelchair passengers nor can the staff personally/physically assist people into the helicopter
Helicopter is a shared cabin holding 6 passengers and one pilot on each flight.
No bags allowed on board. This includes a purse, fanny pack, backpack, etc.

Really fun. Lot’s of incredible views. The pilot and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The pilot went into a lot of the history and background of the places we saw. The Wall of Tears was my favorite.

The views of the west Maui mountains were beautiful in this trip though we saw them from afar even in the helicopter. The pilot very courteously made sure that passengers on one side of the helicopter were able to view the scene that he was passing by turning the helicopter around, so that passengers on both side of the helicopter could see the views equally. A disappointing note was the fact that the music was not Hawaiian. It started off with a rock song that made me wonder if this was going to be a daring type of flight, but it turned out to be a very mild ride. However, I couldn’t help but think on past helicopter rides on other islands that a stunning Hawaiian scenery would’ve been enhanced by Hawaiian music. The ride was safe, the instructions were thorough, and I never felt ill at ease at any time. We were fairly cramped in the back with four adults, so that would be one drawback. The landing was on a little green spit of property where a family lives and had a pretty view, but I wouldn’t recommend it because you cant walk near the water or venture away from the copter. We were all just standing around with our hands in our pockets in that one spot. I think the crew all did a great job toward maintaining safety as paramount.

Thank you for the review and feedback. Each pilot does pick out their own music and some do play more Hawaiian music than others. I will be sure to share this with our chief pilot though as having Hawaiian music in Hawaii is clearly very fitting. Even if it is just a song or two. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in the islands and we thank you again for flying with us.

This is a very good tour where you can see a good part of West Maui and then go across to Molokai. There’s no doubt that you cannot see some of these places unless you take a helicopter or a boat or did some serious hiking. The people from Air Maui were very nice and professional. Our pilot was very friendly and very knowledgeable and he did a good job of navigating the helicopter. He made us involved as he narrated the your and warned us when we would face some turbulence in advance (one of the other passengers vomited during the flight, but that’s not the tour operators fault). We selected the tour which included a landing near the ocean in between one of the valleys. It was nice as we were able to walk around a little bit around the helicopter after the landing. In retrospect, I would have preferred a different tour from Air Maui that did not include the landing only because the time at the landing could have been used to fly over some other area areas (although the landing was nice I would have prioritized more flight time).
