We had an amazing experience with Founding Footsteps on their walking historical tour of Philadelphia, and Seamus was our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating details about the city’s history, and went above and beyond to make the tour engaging for everyone. He was especially patient with our boys (9 & 6), taking the time to answer all their questions and listen to their fun facts. It was a great way to explore Philly, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting—this is a must-do tour!

Ours was a family group of first time visitors to Philadelphia who love history & fun facts. That’s exactly what we got. Although the group seemed a bit large for touring a loud, congested city center, our guide saw that we could hear him & that we safely crossed busy streets. Except for confusion about the meeting place at a street corner (due to a faded address numeral at pet specialty store) everything went smoothly. I only wish our family had more time to actually go inside the Betsy Ross House, Independence Hall, & the Liberty Bell display. Thankfully, our guide showed us a way to see the bell and avoid long lines.

Our guide (Shamus) did an excellent job of highlighting interesting historical facts and stories in an easy going manor. He was open to questions from our small group. I particularly enjoyed the back stories about William Penn at the Quaker Meeting House, Betsy Ross and the flag origin stories and Ben Franklin's contributions to the city.
