Your tour guide will go over the interesting history of Tomaka State Park while we paddle through the Manatee Sanctuary. Another thing that sets our tour apart is the wealth of facts about the wildlife, ecosystem, and history of the town. The experience from checkin at the store/shop to the tour on the Halifax River with Mike was wonderful! We had never tried paddle boards and had thought we would sub for a kayak but the guide encouraged we try the paddle board. We were all very glad we did, it was easier than we expected and a ton of fun! Very enjoyable experience.

We were informed a few hours before our kayaking that the location was changed to Daytona Beach, where manatees and dolphins were seen. As it turned out, we did see some manatees but no dolphins. We enjoyed hearing about the area and some of the buildings we saw. Our guide Mike took photos for us, which was wonderful! The kayaks were not comfortable for my husband because there was no back rest. They were sit on rather than sit in.

A little disappointed that the Daytona tour was not representative of the natural habitat shown in the advertisement….but enjoyable nonetheless. The check-in and tour guide staff were great.
