Paraglider flight with a certified instructor

A powered paraglider is one of the only aircraft that can safely fly just a few feet off the ground. This allows us to see wildlife, birds, local scenery and treetops up close and with a 3D view not possible when cruising at 1000ft. It is also capable of flying 3000ft or higher, if that perspective is desired.

For takeoff, the paraglider wing is laid out on the grass behind the trike. We throttle up; the wing comes up; we taxi and then take off.

This aircraft only flies 25 mph relative to the wind, so if we have a 5 mph headwind, we'll only be going 20mph groundspeed when the aircraft gently lifts off the ground.

We are outfitted with helmet-to-helmet communication for the duration of the flight. If the student is comfortable and time and weather allows, we will ascend to 2000ft and glide down in perfect silence. The only sound during this descent is the wind in the lines and the sound of your own breathing. Students often comment on this as being the highlight of the flight.

Disclaimer: The whole experience is about an hour (15 minutes before, 30 minute flight, 15 minutes after).
I will check the weather forecast 20 to 24 hours before the flight and let you know if it's good. There is always the slight possibility that we have to cancel the flight due to unforecasted wind conditions.
If we cant achieve a long enough flight we will bring you back out for another flight or prorate your lesson accordingly.

Although my experience was canceled due to equipment being maintenanced Chris was ver professional and tried his best to help me find another experience, kodos to him. If I ever do go back to Dover I will try to plan this experience. I had a bad experience at the Best Western Premier in Denver due to the manager Ashly, Chris sure could teach her a thing or two on how to treat a customer, he was excellent, she is awful, she is not a good person avoid the Best Western Premier at all cost.

I recently went up with Chris for my first paragliding flight. During the preflight Chris did an awesome job explaining the equipment and what could be expected. The takeoff, watching the ground fall from under us was byfar one of the coolest experiences I've had. I've flown many times but that's quite different than being suspended from a giant kite or wing. When I made the decision to go up I was wondering if my insurance policy was big enough but after the flight it seems there is a greater risk of accident on the ground, at least for me. Chris is passionate about this hobby and a great professional to trust for you adventure!

Such an enjoyable experience! It was a beautiful morning and, we were able to go quite high and get some amazing views of the area. Christopher is a very knowledgeable and detail oriented instructor. He was able to answer all of my questions and give a good instruction for someone with no flight experience. He was also very mindful of our safety which made me feel comfortable on the flight. I would highly recommend planning a trip with him if you get the chance.
