Beaufort National Cemetery

Pat's father, the Great Santini, is buried here, as well as Pat's mother Peg. It is also the scene of the "missing man fly-over" in the movie "The Great Santini."

Pat Conroy Literary Center

At the end of the tour you will have the option to be dropped off here. Open Thursday through Sunday, noon till 4pm.

My wife and I are Pat Conroy enthusiasts. We were visiting in SC. My wife was googling places of interest and found this tour. If you are a Pat Conroy fan, this tour is a must. Bill the tour guide, is well versed about Conroy and the town of Beaufort as well. We rode in an open golf cart that enabled us to enjoy the delightful town of Beaufort and the various Pat Conroy related sights. Well worth the money. Tour time: 90 minutes. Don’t think twice, make your reservation.

Janet, our guide was incredible. Loved every minute of her educational tour. Her readings, the video, the stop at the cemetery and homes all made for a memorable experience. Couldn’t wait to get home to start reading “The Great Santini”. Thank you Janet.
