1
Declaration House (Graff House)
This is one of the most significant houses in Philadelphia, actually in the entire country, because it is truly the birthplace of America. It is here that Thomas Jefferson resided as he penned the Declaration of Independence that would forever sever our ties with Great Britain and begin a new nation.
2
Christ Church
The names on the tombs within this historic burial ground are extensive and read as a who’s who of colonial Philadelphia. There are 1400 grave markers here. Probably the most famous tomb is that of Benjamin Franklin who rests beside his wife, Deborah and their four-‐‑year-‐‑old son, Francis. Actually Ben Franklin wrote his own epitaph when he was 23 years old.
3
Elfreth's Alley
It is almost universally accepted that Elfreth’s Alley is the oldest continuously inhabited residential street in the United States. It is a National Historic Landmark.
4
Christ Church
One of America’s most historic shrines and a beautiful building in its own right, Christ Church has often been called the “Nation’s Church” because of the number of patriots that have worshiped here. Its admired for its historical, architectural, and religious significance.
5
Liberty Bell Center
Although the bell remains silent to our ears, its message still rings loudly throughout America still and it is one of the major icons of our country and the liberty we all enjoy as Americans.
6

It was really nice to go at my own pace and see the things that I wanted to see. I was able to stop and start when I wanted to and skip the things that I did not care to see or learn about.
