We had a private group lesson of 6 of us 3 adults and 3 kids 12-16. we loved every minute of it. Mike and his brother were great and total professionals. Surfing is tiering even the kids were tired after and hour or so, so 2 hours is plenty and allows you to take a break or just take turns and whoever is resting can take pics. that's the one thing I wish we had done was have one of us take photos while we were actually surfing. we will definitely hook back up with Mike when we return in December. would highly recommend!

Mike was a fantastic instructor to family. Picked a great location for first lesson to maximize runs for beginner levels on Winward side by Huala. Great coaching on the basics and progress made by all. Setup a second lesson later in week we were so impressed. Second lesson by North Shore, Kaika Bay. Another great location for our level.

I was fortunate to get instruction with 808 Surf School with Mike Cao. There are a lot of Surf lessons places on North Shore and it really makes a difference on who you choose. I contacted 808 because of the 5 star reviews. I booked a private session with Mike and he opened his calendar for Thanksgiving morning! Really really cool. We met early in morning , and gave me a solid lesson. knowledgeable, professional, and will work with all levels of ability. I appreciated the knowledge, vibe, and they care about the quality of the lesson to the customer. I proceeded and booked multiple days of private lessons with Mike. A total of 3 separate days. If you are coming to North Shore and never surfed or want to surf better but need help. Contact 808 Surf School. It will make your trip a lot better!
