For those thinking about climbing with Front Range:
(Coming from a college student who went with her mom)
(1) Gear rental is included in the fee (helmet, harness, climbing shoes, necessary ropes/carabiners)
(2) You can drive and meet with the instructor on site (no need to commute from the office and cut into your precious time)
(3) Reserving a time slot is a breeze: simply call the phone number listed, set a date, list the number of people in the party, and pay via phone (your personal instructor will call later asking for climbing experience and other important info (e.g. physical limitations)
(4) Molly is a fantastic instructor - super informative and all-around genuine, friendly, and down to earth person! She explained things clearly and made us feel safe the entire way!
(5) The view is worth it! Absolutely gorgeous rock formations you get to see from a climbers-eye-view!
(6) My mom (a pure beginner and fearful climber) was able to kill the climbs! Though a challenge, a combination of her willpower, our supportive “You got it!!”’s and patience got her to the top.
(7) Climbing is a more physically taxing sport of chess. A combo of leg (yes leg, not arm) strength, strategy, patience, and did I mention the beautiful views??
