My two sons and I signed up for a multiple day trip with Front Range Climbing in Colorado Springs, CO, USA. It was an amazing trip, highly recommended for beginners and even more so for intermediates or advanced intermediates interested in gaining more outdoor, multi-pitch climbing experience. The guides are very knowledgeable, professional and fun - they are true climbers for sure. Not only did we get someone to "take us out" but we had the opportunity to review some of the basic knowledge and learn new tricks. The teaching element was superb. We were taken to the main three climbing spots - Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks and the Cheyenne Canyon. The first two are grippy sandstone, while Cheyenne Canyon is nice granite, full of crack climbs. There are many relatively easy routes that are absolutely fun, hence one has the ability to either lead, or follow the lead, on quite doable climbs. The sandstone slabs of Red Rocks were amazing - pure friction - better trust your feet. The co-owner of the company, Cliff, was very understanding, flexible and committed to making the climbing experience the best it could be. I would highly recommend multiple day trips so as to experience the beauty of the place and the variety of climbs available. Three days were a minimum. Our guide, Keo Boulton, was amazing - an accomplished and experienced climber with a relaxed but serious attitude. It was a real pleasure to climb with him and learn from him. All guides seemed to talk as if they were part of a "team", which is a very good sign for any good working environment. Climb on.
