I wish I remembered our tour guide's name. He's an older guy, you can tell he's been in the sun a lot, long white/grey hair. Cool guy, bad tour guide. I wanted to learn about and experience the vortexes around Sedona. The Earth Wisdom Jeep Tour was recommended to us by the information area not far away. We were told they had been studying the vortexes the longest and so were more knowledgeable of the phenomena. I won't speak for the company as a whole, even though I can't personally recommend them after our experience but, if what we were told was accurate, our tour guide was the worst for this tour.
We visited one vortex within a high profile gated community. He stopped the jeep, let us get out, walk around and really experience the phenomena. He answered any questions, to the best of his ability, that we had about the area and the vortex. And that was the first and last place he went right. After we left that community we just drove around Sedona. He talked a lot about the high profile resorts and the rich and famous that stay in or have visited the area, but never once after that first stop did he so much as mention another vortex. Never once after that first stop did he let us out to experience another vortex. Never once after that stop were we even aware we were in the vicinity of another vortex. After that first stop I learned nothing and experienced nothing of any of the other vortexes in the area. I don't know how he called that a vortex tour, but it certainly wasn't. I wish we could get our money back since we didn't actually get the tour we paid for, but I know that isn't possible.
