WHO WE ARE?
Old Plank is a boutique luxury sailing charter & aquatic expedition company with gourmet 5 star cuisine. Founded by Captain Matthew Mancini, we live by the currents, plan by the tides, and follow the sun.

WHAT DO WE DO?
We take our guests out into a safe sailing environment on the Santa Monica Bay or beyond, where they have the opportunity to experience first-hand the joy of sailing, the rhythm of the ocean and unique pairings of gourmet foods and wines in the sweet briny sea air. We catch sunrises, bake in the mid-day sunshine and relax as the sunsets and the moon rises under starry skies. We play with seals, dolphins, and whales and when appropriate catch fresh seafood to enjoy al-fresco. We are living the Mediterranean dream in Southern California and sharing the experience with valued guests who leave the experience as family

Our mission is to bring the Mediterranean lifestyle to Southern California’s ideal year-round climate.

We enjoyed every aspect of the excursion, from pointing out the sea life, watching the dolphins in their habitat. The calm and peaceful environment. The friendliness of the captain. We would recommend everyone experience this excursion.

Captain Mancini was great. He was kind and easy-going. He let us decide where we wanted to be on the boat. He served wonderful Hors D’ouvres and Rose. All in all, we had a wonderful time and highly recommend sailing with him.

We cannot recommend this sailing adventure enough…. I booked this sail as part of our vacation with relaxing and healing in mind and it couldn’t have been more therapeutic. Captain Matthew is a class act - funny, engaging,intelligent and has amazing adventure stories to share. The boat “Prima Stella” is beautiful and you’ll be pampered with snacks and wine while cruising the coast. My only regret is that we didn’t book more than one cruise with Matthew - this was a perfect day and one that we will repeat on our next visit. Thanks Captain! “Look out for the guerrillas!l”
