Great experience to learn about the in’s and out’s of the French Quarter and New Orleans as a whole. We had a group of all ages and the tour guide accommodated to everyone. The tour was not boring at all! We learned so much and laughed a lot. Definitely worth the price for anyone wanting a private tour instead of a public tour. The company employees were all extremely kind and helpful. Looking forward to attending another tour with them on our next trip.

This VIP tour is not for kids and has nothing to do with its description. Our guide was a nice and articulate person and could probably be fantastic at giving the Ghost/Voodoo tour. She shouldn’t be the one giving this VIP tour. The tour that we got had nothing to do with its description. Nevertheless, it was probably the worst tour we have ever experienced. For example, our guide was obsessed with telling the story of Madam LaLaurie while describing how each slave was tortured (in detail) until I asked her to stop. On every occasion possible she talked about death while ending her sentences by saying: “This is cool” or “this is awesome”. As we passed by a Vampire shop, she told the kids three times: “you should read about vampires on Amazon (google?), it is awesome”. When we asked her: When were the French here? She said: “I’m not sure”. We left the tour horrified and our kids said that they are never going back to New Orleans because that place is “just evil”. Our guide was obsessed with stories about death. She didn’t say anything about the rich history of the city, its French and Spanish roots, Creole cultural traditions, and hurricane Katrina. This tour is not for families and not for history buffs. I actually think that this tour is for no one.

It would be nice it would would stop editing your review….. Again- you should reread the tour listing as New Orleans history is beautiful and it is also dark. Evidently you didn’t read the description. This tour goes to the LaLaurie Mansion, the old morgue and a mass burial ground so yes death was mentioned along with many other historical facts. If you had listened you wouldn’t have even asked when the French were there because there are multiple locations where this is discussed. So I call nonsense. The bottomline ~ we should have ended the tour for your group at the very first stop and asked you to leave when your child repeatedly walked up and hit our tour guide in her private parts. Yes you apologized for it however you should have controlled your kid and paid attention to the tour instead of just watching the kid frolic about in a city that yes is dangerous, the tour guide was more worried about your child getting hit by a car or grabbed up than you were. ~~ the comment made about vampires was once and evidently you didn’t listen to the tour—- your child that whacked her in the private parts countless times said I want to see the vampires she’s simply said that there is a series on Amazon Prime about Vampires of New Orleans. While your children were disruptive you missed the majority of the tour watching them. This tour went by the Cabildo which has an exhibit dedicated to Katrina. You must have spaced out. I’m unsure what caused you to miss out on the historical information, your unruly kids maybe you spaced out or saw something that took your attention but this review is a complete joke. A five star tour that everyone else loves … the problem here is not my tour guide. She handled your family better than I would have I would have told you to leave or keep your kids in check. A tour guide should be shown respect while giving the narrations this way the guests get all the information.
