Обзор
Explore Prospect Park on this 2-hour guided walking tour and learn about historic restoration and environmental preservation work in the Park, including cultural and recreation projects currently underway. This interactive experience explores how Prospect Park has changed over time, from the original vision of designers Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux to the ways in which the Park is used today. Tours begin at Grand Army Plaza and take visitors through many of the key natural and historic landmarks of the park, including the breathtaking Long Meadow, the innovatively-designed LeFrak Center at Lakeside, and the Ravine, the largest natural forest in Brooklyn. This tour also features a special behind-the-scenes visit to historic sites and features within the park.

These tours are offered by Turnstile Tours on behalf of Prospect Park Alliance, the non-profit organization that sustains, restores, and advances the Park in partnership with New York City.

Amazing and sad being kept from Mother by her Son & His Wife same as when my Father was sick. Even though,This has been so wonderful to be back where I went to School and have friends who came with me and live nearby. Everything is so beautiful just as it was before but it's much much better to see it so well kept with so much more to do.

I had a truly amazing time touring Prospect Park with our tour guide Doug from Turnstile Tours on November 17, 2019. He had an in-depth knowledge of the Park's history and landscape. Despite living in Brooklyn for 7 years and visiting the park from time to time, Doug showed/educated us on parts of the park I would have never come across on my own. I highly recommend this tour!!

A truly outstanding tour. Prospect Park is so notable for its design that you might assume no guide is needed. I had been there before, using The Complete Guide to Prospect park (Silver Lining Books, 2001); Turnstyle gave a better tour. I enjoy walking tours and this one was just as good as they get. I have been to Prospect Park before, but the Turnstyle guide showed it to me from new angles, physical and intellectual. Doug Chapman is everything you could ask for in a walking tour guide: knowledgeable, personable, able to reach children and adults alike, offering information and details without overdoing it, and ending on time.
