Poe's ghost has reportedly been seen in numerous locations throughout the house. This could be because of his attachment to some of his personal items.

At first I was skeptical about this, but booked it anyway based on reviews I read. I wasn't sure what to expect honestly, but Tim our guide was very funny and very knowledgable about the history of Richmond. He made out time on this tour very fun. I would recommend going on this as you'll get to see some things you wouldn't if you were just walking around on your own.

I understand that the Boo and Booze Haunted Tour recently started. Wow, what a wonderful start too! What an incredible way to get to know Haunted Richmond and have a few along the way. We highly recommend the drink “Why the Bat Flys After Midnight” at JewFros. It’s a terrific drink that they named after it’s own resident Ghost, Danny. Went back later for dinner and it was a Five Star meal! The tour also goes by the Historical St.John’s church. Never realized that Patrick Henry gave his famous Give me Liberty speech right there! The Tour ended at the Haunted Patrick Henry Inn and Bar where it has its own Ghost that manager James saw. I give 10 stars for how knowledgeable our tour guide was! We recommend this tour as a must do tour for seeing Richmond.
