Bethesda Fountain
The Bethesda Fountain, the gorgeous focal point of the Bethesda Terrace, is one of the largest fountains in New York, measuring twenty-six feet high by ninety-six feet wide. It is one of the most well known fountains in the world, and the statue at its center was the only sculpture to have been commissioned as a part of Central Park's original design. This neoclassical sculpture, also known as Angel of the Waters, features an eight-foot bronze angel who stands above four small cherubim representing health, purity, temperance, and peace. The angel herself carries a lily in one hand while the other remains outstretched, poised in the action of delivering a blessing on the water pouring from around her feet and into the basin at the bottom of the fountain. This is to commemorate the 1842 opening of the Croton Aqueduct, which supplied New York City with fresh water.

The booking process was easy, they responded immediately to my son’s emails and answered all his questions to put his mind at ease. The carriage and “Trigger” the horse was decorated beautifully, the driver, private photographer and videographer were an amazing team, they went above and beyond to truly make this a special experience we can't thank them enough!

The whole process was perfect. Right away from enquiring with the company through WhatsApp, talking to a representative over the photo laying out what was going to happen, to the carriage ride ( the tour guide engaged the perfect amount, not to much, not too little), to being so casual at our “first photo opportunity” where the photographer was waiting, hidden in the dark to sneak up right at the perfect time to take the photos. My now fiancé and I absolutely loved it. It was really perfect. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you to everyone involved. From our rider Honor, to the photographer, and the whole team who was involved.
