Our guide was very knowledgeable and experienced. We enjoyed the tour. I don't understand why I and my wife were strongly asked to give tips to driver or guide. I thought he was already paid decently for what he does. I don't like the notice paper hanging at front of the bus which says 15-20% of tip amount. If he isn't paid enough, the tour company should give him enough pay, we already paid the sight seeing fee. We are not responsible for his income status. Thank you, MH

Masami, We're happy to hear that you found the tour to be very enjoyable. We appreciate your comments on how knowledgable and experienced our tour guides are. We have the top-rated tour guides in the city and one of the ways we are able to retain such incredibly talented guides is through our encouragement to guests of tipping. We understand that gratuity, though a very common custom found in the United States, particularly in the hospitality industry, is an unusual concept in some countries around the world. Our guides are very passionate about their work, but it is just human nature that tips provide that extra motivation to really go the extra mile, day in and day out, in a job that can be quite repetitive as you speak and see the same things every day. Gratuity is optional and we leave it up to your own generosity. This also allows us to keep the price of the tour lower for all, and we feel that it really does motivate the guides to offer their best on each and every tour. We find this system works out to the best advantage for everyone!

Bus was clean and comfortable and on time with numerous hotel pickups. Driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable. Just felt the stops were ill conceived. We spent 25 minutes at a souvenir shop located at a small park with a couple of monuments. Later 30 minutes at the state capital where we wandered around a cavernous building not really knowing what the fuss was about. Tabernacle organ performance was good. Food at the lunch stop was surprisingly quite good and very reasonably priced. If no other SLC sights then I would suggest they significantly reduce times mentioned above and reallocate to walking through temple square complex and providing more detail about the various building therein.
