The tour starts with a trolley ride through the neighborhoods to the park and listening to the history of an old cemetery. The trolley then takes you to the old cemetery on the main street of Old Town, and you end up in the backyard of the Whaley House. I would have rather spent the money on the Whaley House tour and walked on my own. The guide and driver were fine.

So, our tour guide Deena and driver were fantastic! They were fun and knowledgeable. My review to come has nothing to do with the superior service that they provided. I was disappointed in that the actual "tour" has become so slimmed down. We went to one stop on the actual trolley, the Old Town graveyard and the backyard of the Whaley house. Our group was told that for an extra $18 we could go into the Whaley house. The last time I went on the tour (about five years ago) it made a few stops one at the haunted park, an old Victorian mansion, downtown at the old naval hospital and the Whaley house tour was included. Basically, the "tour" attractions were lack luster and could be beefed up. I would gladly pay a few extra dollars to receive a more immersed experience.

Being on the trolley, the route is so scenic. The stories that are told while we are on the road. The first stop at the park to learn the history was scary. I will do this tour literally everytime I come to San Diego it's so worth it!
