Even more fun than it sounds! You're completely in control of your own boat! After a very short instructional session you hop right in the boat and get going on a heart racing adventure around the bay. Took pictures the whole time and learned even more about beautiful San Diego while seeing the great tourist sights in a whole different way. Would definitely recommend this for out of towners wanting a different kind of tour as well as for San Diegans just looking for something fun to do on a weekend afternoon. Tour guide was great: funny and informative and kept it short and brief so you really felt like you were on your own out there. DO IT!

We wanted to do something fun and get out on the ocean while we had friends in town. We heard about Speed Boat Adventures in the San Diego harbor and thought it sounded like what we were looking for! There were three couples, and we each got a boat ... though you can have a boat to yourself if you want as well. We had a very nice man, Jerard, take us out and we followed him ... which was nice to have someone watching out for the group as we had zoomed around and had a blast. The boats are easy to drive, and we all loved the experience! What a nice way to see San Diego from the water and enjoy the day!

This is the best trip on the bay I have been on. Great fun to drive your own boat, enjoy the sun, the ocean breeze and learn so much about the beautiful San Diego bay. If you live here or come to visit this is the best deal for your money.
