This was a great tour and we're so glad we took it! Kathy knows her neighborhood and is full of information. Plus, it was such a pleasant walk through the Castro! Perhaps some tourists might see the tour as "political" or all about "social justice," but human beings are at the root of political and social justice "issues." That's the entire point, and some generic, watered-down tour of the Castro wouldn't be remotely true to the spirit of the neighborhood or its storied legacy. I can't recommend this tour enough for everyone! It also sets a great foundation for exploring the neighborhood on your own afterward!

Kathy was an excellent guide, with tons of knowledge, very welcoming, and a strong sense of advocacy. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting from out of town as an initial introduction to the Castro.
