As a traveller I really believe it’s important for you to try and appreciate the stories behind the place you are in. This 2 hour tour really goes deep into what led to Castro being what it is today, and the sacrifice and struggles of those involved. Kathy managed to tell this story with wit, charm, humour and warmth. I couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough, especially if you are part of the LGBTQ community - this is where the modern struggle began.

I have visited the Castro lots but knew so little about its history so Kathy’s tour was a fascinating look at the area’s importance to LGBT history and to San Francisco. She clearly knows everyone in the Castro and has lots of stories and anecdotes about the people who who make this wonderful area what it is. Kathy is warm, funny and shows real interest in her guests which is wonderful. Can’t recommend this tour enough regardless of your sexuality! Thanks Kathy, meeting you was a highlight of my trip.🌈

I had such a great time last year on this tour I did it again this year - was well worth it and something I will continue to do every year I travel here. Kathy is very knowledgeable and friendly and this is always a highlight of my time here. I learned some history even some of my local San Francisco friends didn't know!
