We found Beth very accommodating. When we couldn't make the hunt scheduled for earlier in the day she did a special hunt just for us. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hunt had been personalized for our special occasion and family. Two adults and kids ages 6 and 11 had a great time and we were all involved in finding the answers to the clues. She even pointed out a playground for us to return to after the hunt.

Beth did a great job keeping our three kids (ages 4, 5.5 & 8) engaged. The scavenger hunt through both Chinatown and North Beach were entertaining and fun for the kids. Since we had to hunt for clues on our own and meet Beth later at a finish point, we had fun exploring areas that may not have been on a more guided tour. The kids LOVED the "fortune cookie lady," seeing an actual Chinese shrine and tasting some authentic fruit that Beth provided for us. By the time we reached North Beach we didn't do the whole hunt because we were all tired from the walk. Definitely bring a stroller for the younger ones. At the end of the tour Beth didn't just send us on our way, she stayed and did a game in Washington Square which required the kids to run a bit more (yes, they had some reserved energy for this competition) and received points if the family answered some San Fran trivia correctly. We enjoyed the little gold Buddhas and chocolates in our Chinese Zodica bags. It was at least a 2 hour tour, so keep that in mind when you book other activities that day.

I thought the scavenger was a great time for me and my kids. My kids are seven and nine and they loved running up and down the streets of Chinatown finding various items that were creative and fun. Through Chinatown we Learned about some culture and fun facts as well as how a lot of people live in Chinatown and some of the traditions. North beach was fun also and the clues were hilarious. Our guide, Beth, was very patient and kind and a lot of fun to be with. She was very knowledgeable and I thought was an essential part of our day. At the end we walked up Lombard and it was the most beautiful street and she gave us a lot of history about the street and the houses. It was a fun challenge to go up the hill and then worth the breathtaking views as reward. It was a wonderful way for a family to spend a couple of hours and really see part of the city they would not know much about otherwise as a visitor. Thank you very much!
