My sister in law and I booked this tour somewhat last minute and we were not disappointed. Kimmy was a great driver and highly knowledgeable tour guide. She was very accommodating and kept us moving throughout the tour day. The first stop to MUIR WOODS was just the right amount of time and actually ended up being a “free day” at the park. The walking tour in the Redwoods was just the right amount for people that just was to enjoy a little bit of time away from the city and see some great trees up close.
The next drive was to Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Our group was more of a midsize group. Not a small tiny 12 person tour, but also not a megabus. Our tour was just the right amount of people to enjoy the three wineries and still feel like you were getting a little bit of individualized attention. We didn’t chose the lunch option and I’m glad we made that decision as this just happened to be the weekend for Sonoma County Festival. There was a party in the town square with food truck, art and wine. It was great. More wine for the tasting and cheap eats! On the drive back there was a little excitement as there was a winery on fire in Sonoma. On the news the next morning we learned the it was probably caused by a discarded cigarette (sad very said). This possible careless act ruined a birthday party, two weddings and caused a lot of financial and emotional damage. But no one was physically hurt.
Just like many of the other groups we stopped for a brief photo shoot at the base of the San Francisco Bridge. The wind was rough but the views were amazing.
Kimmy got us back to our hotel through the perils of San Francisco traffic just in time. Overall it was a really great day.
