On our Secret Food Tour: San Francisco, the Mission District, you'll see how immigrants shaped the neighborhood by creating brilliant artwork, beautiful architecture and sharing their fantastic food! Originally home to Irish, German, and Italian immigrants, it is now the epicenter of San Francisco's Latino culture.

The Mission District is full of vibrant murals that offer a visual history lesson featuring themes ranging from cultural heritage to social-political statements. We will take a stroll through the neighborhood to get an up-close experience.

Our tours are more than just the food. Our local guides connect the dots between history, culture, and cuisine to provide you with a deep understanding of the Mission District's thriving culinary scene!

We took this tour on our honeymoon. Our tour guide was Corey. He was so kind and knowledgeable about the Mission Neighborhood. He took us to the best places and recommended other things to do in the area. He was patient and took lots of pictures for us and even with us when we ask. 10/10 for the tour and especially Corey.

We have done a Secret Food Tour in the past (in a different city) and while that was a good experience, Zachary took it to the next level in San Francisco. We met up at the trolley museum, and from there experienced a lot of great food. What made it even better for me was the history of the city as well, and Zach giving some good tips on some tourist traps to avoid (which was funny because some of the other tours that were a lot more 'touristy' tried to tell us these places were good to go to.) Overall a super positive experience for my wife and I. You definitely walk a lot, but it was not overbearing, and the stops are frequent enough that it was not onerous. Would definitely do it again. PS - This cannoli below was the BEST one I have ever had.

Mark was our guide on the Mission Food Tour, and he was excellent. He was very personable and knowledgeable. A fourth generation San Franciscan and a trained chef, he was able to speak in detail about the Mission’s history, cultural impact and the food we had. The food we sampled - sour dough flat bread, burrito, taco, pastries and chocolate - was plentiful and delicious. He also pointed out and explained various murals, which highlighted their importance in the Mission culture. We definitely recommend Mark and this food tour.
