Anna was full of enthusiasm and facts. It was basically a 2 hour lecture that included the pre-Spanish history (somewhat) and the subsequent colonizations that have made Santa Fe what it is today. However, it was not interactive and there were too many facts, so that I forgot most of the things she told us. She talked non stop and when I asked questions, she implied that was not part of her tour. Since there were just the two of us, I thought it would be more tailored to our interests, but the agenda was set in stone. I would still recommend the tour as it does show an overview, but take notes as there is just too much.

I learned so much history and got an in-depth overview of Santa Fe and it's history. It was great to see the different neighborhoods and learn about the people for whom the streets and buildings are named. Anna is a fine historian with a passion for her city. She showed us how the history of Santa Fe encompasses all the threads of the American story.

It was all wonderful but the connections she made between history and the present were fascinating! We learned so much on so many levels that we couldn’t have gotten anywhere else.
