Contact Island Ferry at 727-742-2277, www.islandferry.biz. The historic Tierra Verde Marina first opened in 1962, and the ride through the Grand Canal is very scenic. Dolphins and Manatees are seen quite often strolling past the homes and the mansions lining the canal.

When we called to booked the trip for my family of four, we asked if we could push my 4 year olds wheelchair to the dock and leave it there. Sebastian said yes and gave us all the info we needed (plenty of parking, great restaurant to eat at, etc). With that small tidbit of info about the wheelchair, Captain Sebastian, put us in our own boat. He said he wanted us ALL to enjoy the cruise. It allowed us to relax and enabled us to spread out and care for my daughter however we needed. His thoughtfulness, kindness and compassion speaks volume of their excellent customer service. We went to where the dolphins swam, he pointed out all the key sites and inside stories that the islands had to offer. It was a perfect sunset cruise for our last night in Florida. Thank you Captain Sebastian for your compassion and sharing your passion for the seas.

Let me first describe the boat, in a word - fabulous! The boat has 4 leather-like couches, two in the front and two in the back of the boat that face each other. The captain is in the middle of the boat. On the night my sister and I went out on the cruise, there were 4 of us on the boat, so we each had our own comfortable couch to lay back and relax and enjoy the scenery. We saw many super fabulous mansions, each one different from the other. Mel Gibson stayed at one of them, Taylor Swift's father designed one of them, and there was an original from the 60s that is owned by Radar O'Reilly from the TV show MASH. The captain was so friendly and informative, it was kind of like going boating with a friend. We chatted about various topics and he pointed out alot of things as we went along. We motored out to the gulf to see a fabulous sunset. They supplied bottled water, and you are more than welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks. The people of this company really care about their customers. They make sure that everyone has a good time. They also do dolphin daytime cruises. They own 3 boats for their excursions. We had the best time ever and I highly recommend this cruise!
