We went out in a group of 6 people. What a beautiful boat! The staff was so nice and friendly. The captain knew just where to go to show us the most amazing dolphin watching. What an amazing trip for a very reasonable price.

We parked our car, paid the $10.00 fee and then were told they had just emailed us and refunded our money due to cancelling the trip. Nice to know after a 4 hour drive from Fresno, CA. In addition, they said the water was rough, the wind was blowing. Funny thing is, we got onto another whale watching trip 2 hours later near the same place and we were wearing T-shirts on the boat and NO WIND< NO CHOPPY water. Would not trust them for a trip!

Thank you for your comments Rachel and we are so sorry for the inconvenience. Our number one priority is safety for our passengers and crew and yes we had to cancelled due to the high winds last Friday. It is something we take very seriously and always err on the side of caution. The Captain makes the decision as early as possible which was 10am that day for our 12pm trip. We email and contact our passengers as soon as he gives us the notification. Unfortunately in your case you were already in the harbor at that time. We refunded you after you arrived at our kiosk and we explained the situation. As far as parking, in your reservation confirmation email it provides the directions where to park for FREE all day so I am not sure why you had to pay $10. We are glad you were able to whale watching after all. If you went with our parent company in Dana Point, which is the next closest place, yes they can sometimes get out of their harbor when we can't, due to the way the harbor was constructed and the direction the swells and wind are blowing come in at a different angle this is entirely possible. So I hope this helps explain the entire situation in more detail and most importantly, you can trust us especially when it comes to passenger safety. If you would like to come out with us again in the future please contact me as I will be happy to offer you complimentary tickets for your inconvenience. Again we are sincerely sorry and look forward to making it up to you.

We had a nice time traveling on the boat out of Oceanside to go whale and dolphin watching. We followed a school of dolphins around for a bit but did not see any whales. The tour guide gave great info about local marine life and the trip was fun. We enjoyed it and got some cool photos and videos of dolphins.
