Береговая экскурсия: Историческая Кона - Кона

Обзор
Step off your cruise and step back in time on this tour of historic Kona. On this cruise ship excursion, we share Kailua-Kona’s history to set the stage for your trip back in time to Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park – an ancient Hawaiian village of refuge for kapu (law) breakers.

We show you a beautiful scenic view overlooking Kealakekua Bay – an underwater preserve and where a monument to Captain Cook stands. Here, he sailed in and was received as the god, Lono, yet he proved to be a mere mortal and was slain. Visit the Painted Church – the tiny church Belgian priests painted to be a grand cathedral. Experience history as rich as the brew at the Kona coffee factory we visit as well.

Our driver had only lived on Kona for 1 1/2 years. He didn’t give us any information. Dropped us off at the Royal Coffee Company. There was no tour. It was just a stop to buy their coffee. I contacted guest services on the ship. They did not receive any reply from the tour operator. After I got off the ship I emailed after cruise guest services and they did not offer any compensation. We paid $378 for a shore excursion that I could have taken a bus to. Extremely disappointed.

Aloha Go, Thank you for your feed back. There are two company's that provide this tour. We don't show you being on our tour. Can you please provide me the name the reservation was under? I would like to opportunity to investigate and maybe compensate if we did do the tour. Please email me at [email protected] . Mahalo,

One of our best tours in the Islands. Views of the historic site were fabulous and resulted in some of the best photos of our trip. Painted Church was great.

We joined a small group tour which picked us up at the pier. Our driver was professional and the vehicle clean and cool. We headed out of Kona and the scenery was lovely along the route. First stop was sampling coffee at the Kona plantation, then a visit to Pu'uhonua, the National Historic Park, which was in a beautiful setting. The last stop was the Painted church, also an interesting stop. Great excursion, recommended. Mahalo
