Preston was our driver and he was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable about Dallas and its history. We've done some sites on our own but were shocked to discover the city has so many underground tunnels! Enjoyed it tremendously

A guide with pride in their city makes the tour better. I am sure all the guides are great but if you get a tour with Preston, you will have a very enthusiastic tour guide. The 3 hour tour takes you through nearly every neighborhood in Dallas with three stops. On a weekday, traffic isn't bad; construction slowed us down more than traffic. The tour doesn't shy away from the JFK assassination. We learn that the city had a hard time recovering from that day. Along the way you'll see a handful of landmarks including Dealey Plaza, the garage where Oswald was shot, and the court where Ruby was tried. Enjoy the Dallas Farmers Market for a break. On weekends it is likely better because the outside fruit and vegetables stands are open. On a weekday you get the indoor stores. I bought a nice Italian iced coffee. The historical tidbits are always best on a tour. You will learn why Dallas County and the city of Dallas are not named after the same people. Then hear some interesting stories about Bonnie and Clyde, Jerry Jones, Mark Cuban etc. The tour was quite enjoyable and worth your money. No complaints.
