We went to Elkhart primarily to visit the Hall of Heros Superhero Museum, and added this to our visit to Elkhart.
What a wonderful, interesting, quiet, clean place to visit.
We do not have an RV, but this museum covers the history of camping/RV-ing from the early 1900's (and earlier?? - I think), with wagon/truck campers through the highest end RV's. We had a fun time looking at all of them, my husband remembering his childhood days in an early pop-up camper, and us both being amazed at the 42' "RV" from an early aircraft company CEO.
In another wing of the museum is a model of the modern RV production floor, showing how an RV is manufactured. It was interesting to see that too.
Admission staff was delightful.
