We have visited Beauvoir a number of times, learning something new with each visit. The history found here is different than what is typically taught in school. That's a good thing as every story has multiple sides. A trip to Beauvoir is an enlightening experience and far more interesting than a classroom. The buildings are lovingly restored and the museum is top notch. Take your time! Be sure to walk out to the cemetary and tour the grounds beyond the main buildings.

We took the tour and it is fun to step back into time to see how people lived back then. The house and the grounds are beautiful and the history of the house and the people is good to learn. So much was going on back then and people should never forget our history. Things that we take for granted todat like indoor bathrooms didn't exist. Well worth a couple of hours of your time to stop in.
