The attraction has free parking. You pay the admission charge in the gift shop of the museum building which is one of several buildings on the property. The museum has many artifacts, pieces of art, and historical information. If you book a tour, you go to the front porch of the main house which is a 5 minute walk from the visitor center. From that porch you have a lovely view of the Gulf of Mexico. The docent for my tour was a fountain of information about the history of the house and its residents. This is the location that Confederate President Jefferson Davis spent his final years. There are other buildings and areas to visit on the property or you can just wander about the grounds enjoying the views.

With all that is going on with the destruction of Memorials this was a must see on our trip to Biloxi. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and he interacted with the small group. The history not to be forgotten it’s part of the foundation of our Country. Beautiful home and furnishings, the grounds could use some work.
