Located in the heart of historic downtown Abilene, The Grace serves as a local and regional hub for arts, culture and community. The museum includes two floors of art galleries with rotating exhibitions on view, one floor of history galleries with rotating and permanent exhibitions on view, plus an exploratory art and history space with learning stations for children and families.

We enjoyed the Grace and in particular the upstairs historical area with reproductions of rooms from various time periods of the 1920s forward and a very interesting display of women’s clothing through the past 100 years as well as a smaller room with lots of memorabilia from the history of Abilene. The downstairs is a beautiful art museum with rotating exhibits. Overall, a lovely space and very quiet during our visit.

The Grace Museum is located in downtown Abilene in a wonderfully restored historic hotel. Some exhibits constantly change, except for a permanent one showing lifestyles of days gone by. The interactive children’s museum on the second floor is popular with the young ones. There is a gorgeous ballroom that can be leased for special events as well as a beautiful courtyard for warm weather ones.
