This all day trip was a good way to see some key spots on the island. The highlight was definitely the lava tube but spotting turtles was also pretty special. The tour guide Clare was top notch, intelligent, funny, and knowledgeable of the island's history - you could not ask for a better person to show you around.

Starting with the visit to a farm, some wonderful coffee to the rest of the trip including lunch at the Southermost bakery to dinner and the visit to the lava tubes which capped off a wonderful day with Claire our guide, service was all excellent. Definitely recommend Hawaii Outdoors and small group tours

Our family of four really enjoyed our tour with Claire (Clair / Clare?). She is super knowledgeable and constantly had interesting anecdotes to share, and was able to answer all of questions easily. She brought us to some amazing sites that we probably wouldn’t have discovered ourselves (lava tubules were the best). The tour was nicely structured — you get to see a diversity of things — volcanoes, coffee, a waterfall, and steam fissures, and have many opportunities for bathroom breaks and the yummy provided lunch and dinner. Claire is also really nice and a joy to be around. We loved it!
