Washington, DC, is a city made of many small, distinctive neighborhoods, often divided by invisible lines and barriers. This can lead to many feeling like there is nothing nearby, yet they are only a block from some amazing treasures!

Join us as we explore the neighborhoods of Union Station, Capitol Hill, Swampoodle, NoMa, and Union Market in a 3-hour tour that includes food and drink samples along the way curated by a local Washingtonian and highlights some of our favorite local spots.

Start at the oldest Irish Pub in Washington, DC, and make your way to Union Market, stopping along the way for food and drinks at local favorite restaurants and breweries. Explore Union Market and take a break with a snack and cocktail. Then make your way to the Latin American Market, where you will sample and learn about select national dishes and drinks from various countries.

My friends and I had the most delightful experience exploring the culinary wonders of D.C. with Unscripted. Our tour guides, Liam and Andrew, were not only incredibly knowledgeable but also brimming with genuine enthusiasm for the city. They took us on a carefully curated journey, introducing us to both well-known eateries and hidden gems off the beaten path, revealing a side of D.C. we had yet to encounter despite our frequent visits from nearby Maryland. The short strolls between each restaurant were a pleasure in themselves, enriched by Liam and Andrew's captivating storytelling about the city's history and vibrant neighborhoods. Unlike typical scripted tours, they adeptly tailored the experience to our interests, fostering engaging conversations that made us feel like we were simply exploring the city with old friends. I must also mention that Guided Tours of DC, the parent company of Unscripted, offers an array of fascinating tours throughout the capital. After such a wonderful culinary adventure, I am genuinely looking forward to embarking on another journey with them. I've lived in DC for years, but even in neighborhoods I thought I knew we went to new places and learned more about spots we had been to before. Our guide Liam seems like a genuine bar fly with a passion for local fare and the people who make it! It was great going to places with him, meeting some of the owners, chefs, and staff, and getting an inside scoop on what's good here and what's upcoming. There were a few groups of friends and individuals making up our tour group, and it was fun getting to know new friends along the way and maybe finding a new drinking buddy! Liam was really knowledgeable about the history of establishments and the history of drinking in DC in general (several fun prohibition stories) and the string of stories and anecdotes kept the tour really interesting. We went through a couple neighborhoods in Northeast DC, and the route was well planned so even on a really hot day we felt like we were never walking too much before popping into a new place. We had about a dozen bites and drinks, and overall I felt it was definitely well worth it for time and the price!
