Specialty Cocktails of the South?
We were served very “everyday” cocktails like daiquiris,
Mi tai, etc. No mint julep, Ramos Gin Fizz, Brennan’s Milk Punch, Pat O’s Hurricane, Sazerac, etc.
While the Mufulats were so-so the alligator sausage was Excellent.
I’m from Louisiana so I know the food. I was entertaining friends from out of state & wanted to give them a good taste of Creole food. Shrimp creole, Jambalaya, oyster & artichoke soup, etc. We had already been on a Cajun food tour in Lafayette so many of the offerings on this food tour were repeats of the Cajun food tour.
The guide wasn’t very informative about any New Orleans history. She seemed to know the answers when asked, but didn’t narrate as we walked.
