The Grand Canyon South Rim is a 7,000 foot elevation, please note this if you have concerns about elevation.
There is NOT a restroom on the van. Comfort stops are made throughout the day.
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
Arizona state law requires children under 8 years to have either a child seat or booster. Child seats are not provided, please bring your own and notify supplier
Minimum age is 3 years and guest must inform supplier they will provide car seats or boosters.
Wheelchairs and walkers are acceptable as long as they fold up and can be slid into the vehicle. You must let the supplier know if you are bringing either.
We do not guarantee pickup for all hotels. Even if your hotel is on the list, there may be a chance you'll need to meet at an alternate location. Any guest staying outside of Phoenix, Scottsdale or Tempe will be required to meet at an alternate location to be determined by supplier. Tour supplier contact details will be provided on your pre-paid voucher.
Supplier is not responsible for road or viewing conditions due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
You must let the supplier know if there are any mobility concerns that they should be aware of.
FOR LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS: Any tours booked after 7:00PM Arizona time the night before the tour date might not be confirmed. You will likely have to meet at another hotel for pick up. Our office will contact you prior to 6:00am on the tour date.

Enjoy approximately 3 hours inside Grand Canyon National Park! Part of your time is guided and part of your time is on your own. Stroll the rim for endless viewpoints and gaze upon the deepest and widest part of the entire Grand Canyon! The drive to Grand Canyon from the Phoenix area is roughly 4 hours with a few comfort stops along the way.

3/24/2023 - We scheduled a Grand Canyon with Sedona Tour Pick up Time - DETOURS # 177744. We were very dissatisfied with the service that Detours American West showed us. Our complaint is that the driver dropped everyone off at their pick-up location except my partner and me. Everyone was dropped at their starting location except us. When we reached the last location the driver and his manager proceeded to tell us they were not able to give us a ride to the hotel they picked us from because the driver was out of driving hours. We had to wait over 1/2 hour for an Uber driver to take us to our hotel. Why didn't the driver tell us sooner instead of us making one last stop during the tour. We felt like we weren't valued compared to the other customers. It was a lack of communication on the driver's part and management of the driver running out of driving hours. They should have given us a heads up. There were too many short stops to look at the Grand Canyon and not enough time to really take in the Grand Canyon and Sedona.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Our guests are not aware of this, but this April saw record setting visitation at Grand Canyon and Sedona, more than we have seen in 23 years. This puts additional challenges in front of our drivers and staff to maintain the comfort and safety of our guests on a long range trip. We could have given you a heads-up before leaving you in the lobby of one of our other drop off hotels for your Uber ride back to your hotel. I believe that we spoke on the phone after this, and I will re-invite you to tour with us again anytime you are in our neighborhood.

The staff was very accommodating when we needed to reschedule due to weather concerns. Pick up was very easy and they were very helpful and communicated well. Nicki our driver and tour guide did an excellent job during the day. I would highly recommend this tour and Nicki as a tour guide/driver.

It was a great way to see the grand canyon. A long day, but great. The descriptions of the different eco systems we went through on the approach was super interesting!
