Crystal River is home to beautiful fresh water springs, a large variety of wildlife, and or course our most famous residents - West Indian Manatees. During the Summer months, the Bay holds approximately 75 to 80 resident manatees.

Each winter between 700 and 1000 manatees migrate here seeking out our three first magnitude spring systems, each with a constant temperature of 72° to 74° F (23° C). Even in the warm summer months, Crystal River has a local population of 70-100 manatees that remain here year round. Due to efforts by many local, state and federal entities, our manatee population is thriving. We feel that an in-water swim experience is an important part of this education and conservation effort. Our team of highly trained in-water guides ensure your experience with this cherished and threatened species is handled with the utmost care and respect by encouraging passive observation.

With only 6 passengers per boat you are guaranteed a special small group interaction.

Highly recommend!!! Our guides, Tyler and captain, were knowledgeable and friendly. We had a wonderful, unforgettable experience, complete with lots of professional underwater photos of our new gentle giant friends. I was able to use my iPhone too. Can’t wait to return!

Top notch! From the moment we were greeted until the time we left the parking lot, we were treated like royalty. Our guide Tyler was immeasurably personable and gave us a thorough overview of the trip and what to expect. It was so great knowing he would be there to guide us. After a quick drive we were introduced to Ed, our captain. He was equally nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Both of them, out of their way friendly and knowledgeable. Tyler did not leave our side in the water. He made sure we had a safe distance to the manatee and that we saw some really cool behaviors (young playful manatees, babies nursing, etc). He and the other guides in the water were friendly and respectful to one another, assisting eachother and their groups. We felt so comfortable! Tyler took so many pictures! Some, honestly, could be framed or in a magazine. Leave your camera behind…Tyler has you covered. Just enjoy! Back at the store, Kim was very kind and helpful too! All around 100/10. We would recommend in a heartbeat!

Decided last minute to book a tour for the next morning and stop through Crystal River on the way to Orlando on the last day of our trip and we were really glad we did. Our guide Marissa was a pleasure to meet and she helped make sure that the 4 of us snorkeling were able to get an experience that we were hoping for, taking photos along the way. At the time we came there weren't many manatees in the waterways anymore because it's starting to warm up so we'll definitely have to come back earlier in the year sometime but we still got up close to a few and were able to observe them passively. We did use our own Insta360 Camera which they were completely fine with but we also purchased the photo package and were glad we did because for the modest price, it gave us some nice perspective as well. Afterwards we took Marissa's recommendation for a local eatery for some fresh seafood and it was great as well. They're just a really cool company to work with.
