If you’re in the Phoenix area, take this tour to Sedona. You must ask for Aldo as your guide. He picked us up from our hotel in Tempe at 6:30 a.m. Please know he went out of his way to do this. Typically, they have you meet the bus in a central location. He was an immediate burst of energy and we immediately knew this was going to be the highlight of our trip. We picked up our group and we were off to Sedona. Our first stop was to take an up close look at a Saguaro. Aldo took everyone’s pictures and taught us all about these gorgeous cacti. We also learned why Arizona cows are actually the happiest, despite California saying otherwise. Our next stop was Montezuma’s Castle. Aldo, dove into the history of how these people lived and it was incredibly interesting. He knows all the best stops with the best views. He made sure we had clean restrooms and lots of water. It was really hot when we visited at the end of September. He also stopped at Chapel of the Holy Cross to make sure everyone got to see everything on their list. Once we got to Sedona, he made a suggestion for lunch, which was excellent and he made sure we got a discount. Canyon Breeze had great food and an epic view. We wandered around and did some shopping. Aldo showed us where George Clooney and Jessica Alba did some shopping for art. He took us to the Sedona Airport so we could take in the best views of the mountains. Stunning is an understatement. Finally, one of the ladies in our group asked if we could make a quick stop to get pie at the Pie Box on the way back. Aldo, did not hesitate and the pie did not disappoint. Aldo made our trip special. He was fun, made sure we saw all the best sites, learned about the places we visited, had the best pictures, and made memories. My cheeks hurt from laughing so hard. It was an epic day. Make sure to book a tour with him and give him a generous tip. He has a Gorgeous family and a German Shepherd named Maverick he supports. Also, I want to add we used Detours when we went to Denver and had a wonderful experience there as well.
