Founded in 1692, the San Xavier Mission is still in operation and allows guests to marvel at the ornate craftsmanship showcasing both Spanish and Native influences. Original frescoes and statuary are still on display within the mission for guests to admire as well.

We had a great day and our driver/historian Robert went beyond most drivers. The weather wasn’t the best but it didn’t stop any of our explorations. Tombstone has a lot going for it and although we ran out of time, we saw the basics…cowboys…history…gunfights…saloons. Our stop at San Xavier Mission was a great insight to the architecture of that time. Overall a great day and lots of memories!
