We visited 4 winery’s in Napa ... all lovely in their own way (location some, wines others). What impressed is that we were never rushed to leave...and arrived back an hour longer than expected. I have been on private tours in the Napa but this really was the best experience.

I really appreciate your feedback, Scott; it's high praise that you enjoyed our Join-in tour as much or more than the private Napa Valley wine tours you've tried in the past. Sorry this tour ran long, but when our guests are not ready to wrap it up, we tend to allow them to stretch out the day just a bit more...

We weren't sure about a group tour in wine counrty, but not wanting to drive after wine tasting we signed up. It was amazing. Tour took us to small, intimate wineries with personal service. Lunch was provided - in a cave! Driver (Mark) could not have done anything else to make the trip better. We had so much fun during the tour, the group met later for dinner at a local restraunt - even our driver Mark joined us. Highly recommend Platypus!!

Cheers, Rick; I'm delighted that you had such an awesome time on Mark's tour. He's been touring with us for eight years or so, and what I've found about long-time tour guides is that experience counts in spades in this field; guides like Mark have mastered not only the dynamics of presenting a great tour, but also a myriad of nuances and finer points that really make the tours pop. It's also enough time to develop deep friendships with many, many winery staff. These relationships are so very useful in getting the best possible service and behind-the-scenes extras for our guests. I'm proud and very grateful that so many of our tour guides have chosen to continue touring with us for so many years! Thanks for posting.

We had an awesome time. Just the right size group. Our host, Gary, was great. He was knowledgeable. Liked the choice of wineries. This was our second tour and I appreciated that they kept a record and were able to bring us to new places.

We are very lucky and honored to have lots of guests repeating our tour, so we make every effort to show them a whole different set of wineries each time they come back to tour with us. In fact, we're forever on the lookout for new hideaway wineries to add to our selection (there are over 500 wineries in the Napa region!) I'm so glad to hear you loved Gary and wineries he chose for your tour group that day. He's a great storyteller, and he has an ideal tour guide personality (not to mention, many relationships with a great many wineries!) Thanks so much for touring with us again, Colleen!
